Carpenter Apprentice Challenge

In Equation #1 you answered the distance across the room diagonally. Showing your work on a single sheet of paper with a scientific calculator, determine the angle of that line from a horizontal plane. This equation is very useful in finding the angle for stairs.

Hint #1: You can use the calculator in Microsoft Windows under the Start button, click on All Programs, click on Accessories, the click on calculator. Once open you'll have to click View from the menu bar, then choose scientific.
