Welcome to my Jeep page.

It's a 55 Willys CJ5 I bought back in 1994. After I rolled it in Hollister in 2002 I bought this new tub and did the metal work you see just prior to having it sandblasted.

Here I'm painting the inside before putting it in the garage to paint the outside.

After the rebuild in 2003 my wife and I got in an accident from a guy making an illegal U-turn. I almost gave up at this point!

I was going to have a frame built for me, but chose to do it myself. I'm glad I did.

This frame kit came from Matkin's in Montana for $1200 + Shipping.

I mocked up the entire drivetrain with an old 265 block, and empty TH350, and my Dana 18 T-case.

I put the fenders on so I could do the cutouts for the shock hoops. The grill went to chrome shop.

Too bad you have to use 70, 71 fenders with reflectors. Can't find remakes of originals.

Here's the crossmember & supports I fabbed.

Then, I started fabbing up the rear suspension. I couldn't have done this without Dave from Poly Performance's help (San Luis Obispo).

And then the front and steering. Note the rebar hold the axle sideways. Everything was done with a level and lasers.

I was pleased when done.

Frame was now complete and I finished welding everything.

I painted it with PPG Topcoat.

Complete chassis. At this point I knew my springs were way to heavy.

I built my first 350. I've always used 3.25" cranks in the past. Steel crank, forged pistons, full roller valvetrain, and 4 bolt block.

It has a TH-350C lockup (built by Golden Gate in Pleasanton, CA, best I've ever had) and Dana 18 with 3.15:1 TerraLow gears

Groth Brothers Chevrolet squirted it this time. It was February and I wanted it done!

Almost together, I put the radiator in and drove it around the block. Almost scared me to death. I now know why you must have swaybars!

Getting close now, I was driving it slowly with only a rear swaybar. My Brother wanted to drive it, and got out after the first block.

I put a front torsion bar on it shortly after this picture. I've been driving it now for almost 6 years, and it does not look this clean anymore.

I drive this almost daily. I can tell that I may have to put a step on the passenger side for my wife soon.

Update 8/31/2015

I retired in 2012 and moved to just North of Reno Nevada. Here I am in early April North of my house with my dog Slash.
